Top Ten Triton Dealers of 2011

This prestige honor is awarded to dealers who have performed above and excelled in areas of quality, service, sales, and marketing. They have shown their loyalty and dedication to the Triton product and are excellent ambassadors for Triton Trailers. The dealers are nominated and selected among 1200 Triton dealers throughout North America.

Martin Motor Sports is a family owned and operated dealership that has grown strong for the past 45 years. There are five locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Martin Motor Sports is a branch of Martin Deerline (agriculture dealerships). Martin Motor Sports’ focus is on the recreational consumer and providing them with the best quality products such as Triton Trailers and has been selling Triton successfully for eight years. tesa tape, inc. Named As Official Supplier to US Bobsled & Skeleton Team



CHARLOTTE, NC - Company officials of tesa tape, inc., are pleased to announce that tesa tape, inc., has been named as an “official supplier” to the United States Bobsled / Skeleton Federation Team. The agreement, which was finalized by both parties in late November, names tesa tape, inc., as the sole adhesive tape provider to the team.

As the official adhesive tape supplier, tesa tape, inc. will provide the team with highly-specialized adhesive tapes to optimize the team’s equipment. According to Tuffy Latour, U.S. skeleton head coach, “tesa tape is an integral part of our sleds, as it holds the padding to the pod of the sled and helps the aerodynamic flow around the sled. Our athletes also use tesa tape on helmets and any open areas to cut down on aerodynamic drag, which can help us gain valuable hundredths of a second to get onto the podium. As detailed in the agreement, each party has been granted rights to use select promotional materials from the other party to further promote both brands.

The 2010 – 2011 competitive season for the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Team began in November, 2010, with World Cup competitions in Whistler, Canada, at which the team won gold and silver placements, and ends in February, 2011, with World Championship competitions in Konigssee, Germany. 



Tilt Slide Axle Now Available at Felling Trailers

Primary applications for Felling’s FT-80-3 TSA include moving 40’ containers and towing an array of equipment. The FT-80-3 TSA runs on 2 “V” rollers and 6 flat rollers and has all functions available on a remote control option. It is available in three load capacities and has a 6-7° load angle. Phillips Industries Fills Eastern Regional Sales Manager Position

Santa Fe Springs, CA - Phillips Industries has hired Rick Barlow as Eastern Regional Sales Manager.  Barlow will report directly to Randy Walker Director – North American Aftermarket Sales and will have responsibility for servicing current Phillips’ customers as well as growing the company’s presence throughout the Eastern United States.  

Barlow brings more than twenty years of selling and leadership experience to his new position at Phillips.  He spent the last six years with International Truck and Engine Corporation, a Navistar company, where he most recently held the position of Parts Sales Manager for the East Region.   Barlow holds a BBA from Baldwin Wallace College and an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

PPG LAUNCHES AUE-300YL AND AUE-360YL
New yellow resin bases with increased hiding power

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – December 13, 2011
PPG Commercial Coatings has introduced AUE-300YL and AUE-360YL, two high-hiding, yellow urethane resin bases intended to provide increased hiding power for select industrial colors. These new resins are additions to the AUE-300 Low VOC Urethane Enamel and AUE-360 High Solids Urethane Enamel topcoat systems, respectively, and are part of the PPG Commercial Performance Coatings brand of products.

“AUE-300YL and AUE-360YL have been used to reformulate certain colors in the two-book PPG Commercial Performance Coatings color selector,” said Steve Podlas, brand manager for PPG Commercial Coatings. “We identified 25 colors to date as having formulations that often take five or six coats to achieve hiding using the standard, clear mixing resin. But now, with AUE-300YL and AUE-360YL, we can provide 30-35 percent better hiding than the original formulation.”

Hiding, or hiding power, is the ability of a paint film to mask the color or pattern of a surface the paint film covers. According to Podlas, the new resins’ yellow color gives them an enhanced hiding capability. This, in turn, reduces the number of coats required in an application and results in lower labor and material costs for the end user.
“Better hiding means saving time and expense to the customer,” added Podlas. “And, obviously, that’s a significant benefit.”

AUE-300YL and AUE-360YL are recommended for interior and exterior use on properly prepared surfaces. Application examples include metal fabrication, castings, cabinets, machinery, and heavy equipment. AUE-360YL offers excellent exterior durability, mar and chemical resistance, UV resistance, and high dry film hiding capability with minimal coats.
