NATM is pleased to be headed back to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for the 29th Annual Convention & Trade Show, Feb. 15 – 17, 2017. It has been nine years since NATM has held a convention in Florida, but historically, this location has yielded two of our largest gatherings.
The Coronado Springs Resort will not only serve as the host hotel, but as the site of educational sessions, meetings and the trade show.
The discounted NATM rate for Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is $159/night. Plan on coming early, staying late and bringing your family! Based on hotel availability, the rate will be available for the three days prior to the convention, as well as the three days post should attendees want to extend their stay. Disney is known for their service, and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will not disappoint. It is the largest single-level convention center on the East Coast. The resort surrounds Lago Dorado, a beautiful, fresh water lake. The resort celebrates the spirit of the American Southwest and northern Mexico. There is complimentary wi-fi in all guest rooms and common areas, five swimming pools, children’s playground, fitness center and a nature walk.
BEGINNER'S LUCK PROGRAM
The NATM Convention Committee has been looking at ways to increase trailer manufacturer attendance at the convention. Several years ago, the committee introduced the Beginner’s Luck program. The program allows new trailer manufacturer members and long-time members, who have not previously attended, an opportunity to receive two complimentary convention registrations and two complimentary hotel room nights at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This promotion is not possible without the support of NATM's sponsors including TexTrail Trailer Parts who is sponsoring the 2017 Beginner’s Luck promotion.
Registration brochures will be sent in late summer, in time for registration to open on Sept. 1. Trailer manufacturers - remember that the earlier you register, the more money you will save! Registrations will be as low as $100 for trailer manufacturer members beginning Sept. 1, the price to attend will increase every month thereafter.
The 2017 schedule of events will be very similar to the 2016 schedule, but you may notice a few changes. One of the Convention Committee’s goals is to keep enhancing the program and to make the event more worthwhile every year. Previous year’s evaluations are carefully reviewed and much thought goes into scheduling changes. Based on evaluations, the Technical Forum will be moved back to Wednesday and Thursday. The agenda for the Technical Forum will be announced later this summer. The newly added Speed Networking event was a great success and will return in 2017 on Wednesday afternoon. Speed Networking is limited to 100 attendees - 50 trailer manufacturers and 50 suppliers. Plan to register early for this event so that you can reserve your spot. Registration for Speed Networking will open when event registration opens in September. (more)
GOLF TOURNAMENT (more)
The golf tournament will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Celebration Golf Club. Celebration is one of a handful of courses co-designed by Robert Trent Jones, the Father of American Golf Architecture, and his son, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. It is built on scenic wetlands, features native wildlife and is surrounded by early 1900’s style estates, giving the club a private feel. It is also ranked in the Top 25 of Public Courses by Golf World magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award. The cost to play in the golf tournament is $150, and attendees can sign up online or using the registration forms found on NATM's website.
TRADE SHOW OPEN (more)
Trade show space opened to all supplier members and non-members on June 22nd. If you have not already received your exhibitor brochure or if you are ready to reserve space, contact Tradeshow Director, Monica Johnson.
As always, the Convention & Trade Show would not be possible without the support of its generous sponsors. NATM wants to ensure that there are sponsorship levels available for all budgets, and it was realized that the sponsorship program needed to be updated. Some of the sponsor levels have new names, and this year, NATM is introducing a "Featured Sponsor" designation. Many sponsorship op-portunities are still available - please visit the NATM convention website for additional information or contact Allison Malmstrom.
