Boardroom Bulletin: Reg Roundup and Board Nominations
Hello everyone, my name is Johnathan Bradley, and I serve as the Chief Commercial Officer for Liberty Trailers. I’ve been fortunate to work in this great industry for nearly two decades, holding senior leadership roles at some of the largest trailer brands before joining Liberty — one of the fastest-growing names in the business today. Last October, I had the honor of joining the NATM Board of Directors, and I am thrilled to contribute to the growth and direction of our association.
One of the things I’ve always loved about this industry is the people — hard-working, innovative, and passionate about what they do. That’s exactly what drew me to get more involved with NATM. Serving on the Board has given me a new perspective on the inner workings of the association and the tireless efforts that go into advancing our mission. It’s been rewarding to play even a small part in that work, and I’m excited to share some updates and opportunities with you here in this month’s Board Bulletin.
Looking Ahead: The 2025 Regulatory Roundup
This October, NATM will once again host the annual Regulatory Roundup in Washington, D.C. For those who may be new to the event, the Regulatory Roundup is when our industry comes together to meet face-to-face with lawmakers and government agencies to make sure our voice is heard on the issues that matter most — whether that’s trailer safety, trade policy, or other key topics that directly impact our businesses.
This year will be my very first time participating, and I can’t wait. I’ve heard from so many of my peers that this is one of the most valuable experiences NATM offers. Beyond engaging with elected officials, attendees get access to unique opportunities — including a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Capitol, networking with fellow industry leaders, and hearing from speakers representing important government agencies.
The Roundup isn’t just about advocacy — it’s about relationship-building and visibility. It’s about ensuring that policymakers understand the importance of our industry and the role we play in supporting jobs, communities, and economic growth. And here’s the truth: we need as many members as possible to join us. The more voices in the room, the stronger our message.
If you’ve ever thought about participating, I encourage you to make 2025 the year you take the leap. It promises to be a memorable experience, and more importantly, your presence makes a difference.

Opportunities to Get Involved
I know that traveling to Washington in October isn’t feasible for everyone. The good news is that there are plenty of other ways to get involved with NATM and contribute to the success of our industry.
Board of Directors Nominations
Right now, NATM is accepting nominations for the upcoming Board of Directors election. If you’ve ever considered serving, I can tell you firsthand that it’s an incredibly rewarding experience. It gives you a chance to understand the association at a deeper level, to influence its direction, and to work alongside a group of passionate, committed peers.
If you feel called to serve — or if you know someone whose experience and leadership would benefit the Board — please take the time to submit a nomination. Nominations are due September 30th, and elections will be held later this Fall.
And here’s my shameless plug: I am up for reelection this year, and I would be honored to continue serving. So when the time comes, don’t forget to Vote for JB!
Committee Involvement
Board service isn’t the only way to give back. NATM committees play a vital role in shaping the work of the association — from compliance and government affairs, to educational resources, to planning our Annual Convention & Trade Show. Committees are where ideas are debated, programs are built, and connections are made.
Even better, they’re a fantastic way to network with like-minded professionals and build relationships across the industry. The call for 2026 committee participation will go out in October, so now’s the perfect time to start thinking about where you — or someone on your team — might want to plug in. Take a look at the list of committees here: https://www.natm.com/committees . Encourage colleagues within your organization to consider serving as well. Our association is only as strong as the members who contribute their time and expertise.
A Final Word
This association doesn’t exist in a vacuum — it thrives because of the active participation of its members. Whether it’s joining us in Washington for the Regulatory Roundup, submitting a Board nomination, volunteering for a committee, or simply engaging with the resources NATM provides, there are so many ways to make your voice heard and help shape the future of our industry.
I’m proud to be a part of this community and grateful for the opportunity to serve. I hope to see many of you in Washington this fall, and I look forward to working alongside you in whatever capacity you choose to engage. Together, we can continue to strengthen NATM, our industry, and the businesses and people that depend on it.
See you soon — and don’t forget to Vote for JB!
