Boardroom Bulletin: Get Involved with Trailer Safety Week
As members of the trailer industry, safety is at the core of what we do. That’s why Trailer Safety Week, taking place June 7-13, 2026, is such an important initiative for our industry and the communities we serve.
Trailer Safety Week is a nationwide campaign focused on increasing awareness around proper trailer maintenance, safe towing practices, and responsible trailer operation. With millions of trailers on the road every day, it’s critical that manufacturers, dealers, and end-users work together to prioritize safety and education.
One of the biggest challenges our industry faces is the lack of consumer understanding when it comes to safe trailering. Many end-users simply don’t know the importance of routine maintenance, load securement, or proper towing setup. Trailer Safety Week gives us an opportunity to bridge that gap and provide valuable resources that help keep everyone safer on the road.
I encourage NATM members to get involved however they can, whether that’s sharing educational content, talking with customers about safe towing practices, or becoming an official Trailer Safety Week Ally. Even small efforts can make a meaningful impact when we work together as an industry.
Safety isn’t just something we focus on one week out of the year. It’s a commitment we make every day. Trailer Safety Week serves as a reminder of the role each of us plays in promoting safer roads and stronger industry standards. There is no deadline for joining, sign up today on trailersafetyweek.com!
