Boardroom Bulletin: A Shared Commitment to Moving Our Industry Forward
One of the things that makes NATM such a valuable resource for our industry is the people who get involved. As members, we each bring different experiences, challenges, and perspectives to the table, and that input helps shape the Association and the future of the trailer industry.
One of the most meaningful ways to get involved is by volunteering for an NATM Committee. Whether your interests lie in education, technical and compliance, government affairs, membership, or another area, there’s an opportunity to put your knowledge to work. Committees help guide NATM’s programs, improve member benefits, address industry challenges, and develop resources that support our businesses. You don’t have to be a long-time member or an industry veteran to contribute. If you have experience to share and a willingness to participate, your perspective matters.
Committee participation is also a great way to build relationships with fellow members, learn from others, and become more connected to the industry beyond your own business. With most committees meeting virtually on a monthly or quarterly basis, getting involved can be more manageable than you might think.
There are also other ways to participate within NATM. They recently wrapped up its Board of Directors election, and I encourage everyone to stay engaged with the leadership guiding our Association. Attending the NATM Convention & Trade Show is another great opportunity to connect with peers, learn about industry developments, and take part in recognizing the people making a difference through the NATM Industry Awards.
At the end of the day, an association is only as strong as the people who participate in it. The more we contribute, the more we can accomplish together.
I encourage you to take the next step and get involved. Explore the available committee opportunities and submit your 2027 Committee Interest Indicator by November 25. Your experience, ideas, and participation can help move NATM and our industry forward.
