Boardroom Bulletin: Board Voting and Committee Involvement

Posted By: Nathan Uphus NATM News,

As a Board Member of a member-driven organization, I’ve seen firsthand how impactful active member engagement is in shaping the future of our Association. As we prepare for the year ahead, two important opportunities are now open for you to directly influence the Association’s direction: Board of Directors Voting and Committee Volunteer Interest Indicators. Your participation in both is essential to ensuring NATM remains strong, representative, and forward-thinking.

Board voting determines the leaders who will advance NATM’s mission, advocate for our industry, and support the programs and resources our members rely on. By casting your vote, you help ensure the Board reflects the perspectives, priorities, and diversity of the companies we serve. It’s a simple action that makes a lasting impact on how our Association grows and responds to member needs.

Committee volunteer positions for 2026 are also now available, with Interest Indicators due December 12th. NATM committees play a vital role in:

  • Evaluating and enhancing member resources
  • Strengthening industry education
  • Guiding the Association’s advocacy efforts
  • Shaping programs that supports manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers

We encourage members to get involved and help influence the direction of the industry.

This year brings exciting new committees for involvement, including the Women Tow-Gether Committee, Dealer Training & Technical Committee, Dealer Business Operations Committee, and the Data Insights Taskforce Committee. The Technical and Compliance Committees have also merged. These updates ensure our committee structure reflects the evolving needs of the trailer manufacturing community.

Whether your strengths are in membership engagement, government affairs, education, technology, finance, or dealer-focused initiatives, there is a committee where your expertise can make a meaningful impact. Most committees meet virtually, ensuring participation is accessible no matter where you’re located.

Serving on a committee or participating in the Board election is one of the most impactful ways to support NATM and help strengthen the future of our industry. I encourage you to get involved, lend your voice, and play an active role in shaping the year ahead.
