Boardroom Bulletin: The Impact of NATM's Reg Roundup & Renewals Season
As a board member of NATM, I am thrilled to share my perspective on the vital role our Regulatory Roundup event plays in shaping the future of our industry. The Roundup, held annually in Washington, D.C., is not just a gathering—it's a pivotal moment where we bring together influential speakers and presenters from key industry groups and agencies. Organizations such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), along with staff from key congressional committees and other industry experts, come together to discuss the current status and the future of our industry.
The importance of this event cannot be overstated. It offers our members a unique opportunity to engage directly with decision-makers and gain invaluable insights into the regulatory landscape. Following the Regulatory Roundup, our coordinated Capitol Hill Visits provide a platform for NATM Members to voice their concerns and discuss the implications of legislation on our industry with their Senators and Representatives. This hands-on advocacy is crucial, as it ensures that our collective voice is heard loud and clear when it comes to shaping policies that affect us all.
If you couldn't attend this year's event, I strongly encourage you to prioritize next year's Roundup. Your participation is essential to our advocacy efforts and the future success of our industry.
Additionally, as we look forward to another year, it's time to renew your Association membership. Being part of the NATM means being part of an organization that tirelessly advocates for you—whether on Capitol Hill or within your business operations. For over four decades, NATM has been the steadfast voice of our industry, and your continued support is what makes this possible. Be sure to check your inboxes this November for information on renewing your NATM Membership.
It's been inspiring to witness our Association grow into the influential voice it is today, and I am excited to see what we can accomplish together in the future.
